Podiatrist: Jeanette Speck

Jeanette began her career as a registered nurse in England. Beginning a new life in New Zealand, she continued to work as a nurse both in Auckland and the South Island. In her tenure as a registered nurse, she took her first steps towards becoming a podiatrist, gaining experience within trauma orthopedics, renal medicine and transplantation as well as oncology and surgery.

Jeanette's nursing experience has provided her with insight into the needs of people recovering from surgery (such as knee and hip replacements) and the unique challenges faced by individuals with musculoskeletal conditions such as Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Jeanette was also employed as a clinical educator at AUT, supporting undergraduate students in clinical settings in hospitals and clinics in Auckland. She has extensive experience working with clients with various conditions including diabetes, arthritis, cardiac conditions, autoimmune diseases. Jeanette is the podiatrist in Auckland for DIABETES NEW ZEALAND.

Her two-fold philosophy is simple: Prevention is better than cure and clients are at the centre of all treatment and goal setting.
